Please join us at No Compromises in sending a clear signal of reform to our feckless leaders at the Republican National Committee (RNC). We gladly welcome your inputs, your keen insightful commentary and additions to this important Conservative revolution to reform the GOP.
The way to win in politics is to attract more people into your electoral tent than theirs – it’s as simple as that. Think about the Reagan-Paul Revolution outfitted in a modern-day, high-tech marketing and grass-roots infrastructure.
To accomplish this, “We” start by:
- 1) Not picking up the stakes and moving left (compromising, watering down our principles; been there, done that, doesn’t work), but by holding fast to what we know is right and that works – educating, convincing, cajoling, challenging, inviting as many as possible rightward into the Conservative tent.
- 2) Leaving Neo-Cons and RINOS and their ilk behind. By turning to our core principles again, and ignoring these pretenders with leftist tendencies, they will have no other choice but to ‘get religion’ again, and move right, or self-select the Leftist party – thus watering the Left down!
- 3) Installing, and supporting, Conservative LEADERSHIP. We must demand change here when our leaders reliably falter. And we cannot tolerate corruption, and those leaders or officials who continue to do damage to our party platform, to our Conservative mission, or ignore the Constitution.
- 4) Modernizing our political marketing, our education, fundraising, recruiting, constructive debates, by maximizing the use of high-powered communications technologies – particularly by harnessing improved use of the Internet as our primary grassroots engine (as has been proposed).
- 5) Effectively getting our message through to the youth and the disenchanted in particular. Conservatism has no ‘color’; we know it benefits everyone because fairness and success are the inevitable, proven results of maximizing the individual’s freedom – regardless of one’s group identities. So, the key is to educate with the appropriately tailored, EFFECTIVE message for the brain-washed, non-believers.
- 6) Revering our oaths, and not only living up to it, but by CHAMPIONING the U.S. Constitution – the most remarkable, secular document ever written.
- 7) Promoting a Conservative political agenda which puts the promise of all Americans ahead of any individual leader, party, apparatchik, or interest group. Our rallying cry should be “We, the People…”; our mission must be to restore, and to protect our Constitutional LIBERTIES. It’s that simple.
All political marketing and infrastructure aside, all is for naught if we don’t have the superior political PRODUCT (policy agenda) to sell. Marketing tactics must be built around the central ideas, policies, candidates we are offering to the American electorate.
No Compromises Reader, what other cogent, key points of reform would you suggest?
This seems a no-brainer; we should start re-establishing our party credibility, and demonstrating our superior Conservative principles, by promoting a political agenda which the People already desperately want! The Republican minority should, each congressional session, propose the following pieces of legislation, under the Contract with America umbrella, while making a solemn pledge to the American People, which will NOT be broken, that upon obtaining the majority position in Congress, the Republican Speaker of the House will bring the Freedom Contract before Congress, and have a full debate upon each of the Ten Promises, as outlined below. This new Contract with America might read as follows:
The Freedom Contract with America
We Solemnly Pledge, We Will,
•I. Seal America’s Borders, Now! Stop the incessant influx across our borders of illegal drugs, weapons, diseases, and aliens including potential terrorists, slaves, criminals, and the impoverished – which continually poison our American nation.
•II. Resolve our Military Incursions, Now! Cease and remove ourselves from unending nation-building and dangerous entangling alliances. Secure our own American territory, instead!
•III. Pass the Fair Tax Act, Now! (while repealing the 16th Amendment) Eliminate all federal taxes: abolish the personal income tax (along with the IRS!), FICA taxes, capital gains taxes, death taxes, corporate taxes, etc. and replace with one single, flat and fair sales tax rate on purchases of all new goods and services. Includes a ‘prebate’ check paid monthly to all Citizens reimbursing them for taxes paid up to the poverty level.
•IV. Reverse the Infringement on our Constitutional Rights from the “War on Terror”, and Completely Overhaul our Broken Immigration System, Now! Review the Patriot Act, FISA, and related legislation and restore any Citizens’ Rights damaged by government over-reach. This shall include a complete re-tooling of our domestic visa program, passports, identification and alien tracking, etc. and strict enforcement including swift deportation after due process.
•V. Stop the Government’s Attacks on Traditional Marriage, Now! Cease the use of Government coercion, by a fringe minority, as a bludgeon against the vast majority of Americans who will not accept being forced to legally sanctify the aberrant arrangement of a few, while denying the traditional, millennia-old bond of man and woman, which by the potential to pro-create, uniquely strengthens nations with families
•VI. Abolish the Federal Reserve System, and all other Un-Constitutional Federal Departments, Now! These unconstitutional entities are, by definition, operating illegally, are wasting vast quantities of precious resources, especially leviathans such as the Federal Reserve, which, as we are witnessing, actually promotes the destruction of wealth rather than its preservation!
•VII. Stop the Government’s Promotion of Infanticide, Euthanasia, and Human Embryonic Experimentation, Now! Government spear-heading of Eugenics represents the path to destruction for a nation as history has always shown. Killing people for our own convenience (under the guise it’s for the victim’s convenience) represents evil on its face.
•VIII. Cease all Marxist Re-Distribution Schemes of the Citizen’s Wealth (‘Welfare’) to Foreign Entities, Corporations, ‘Causes’, or Other Citizens (‘Victims’), Now! Forced ‘charity’ is really not charity at all. It’s called COERCION – and its spirit is the exact opposite of that under which the Constitution was formed, and for which it was consecrated to protect.
•IX. Cease the Government Interference in our Individual Free Choice of Education, Medical Care, Insurance, Transportation, etc. in an Open and Competitive Marketplace, Now! We, the People, shall be Free to Choose our own actions and associations without any government interference whatsoever (unless it is proven to injure someone else). Free markets, the benevolent forces of competition, and Capitalism allocate goods and services (limited resources) better than any Government, King, or bloated Bureaucracy ever possibly could (see Feudalism, Marxism, Fascism, Bolshevism, Communism..)!
•X. Unfetter the Energy Marketplace in order for energy alternatives to Emerge upon their own Economic Merits; Cease and Desist from Onerous Schemes to Handcuff the Marketplace, Kowtowing to Phony Crises such as “Global Warming”, or Insidious International Treaties, Now! There is no reason, except for Government interference, that America cannot achieve Energy Independence. This is a matter of national security! Let us drill and mine for our own resources. Stop the forced, corn-fed methanol boondoggle. Champion the superior benefits of nuclear power! Let FREE MARKETS find solutions from which we can CHOOSE – there is no history that these optimal solutions will ever come from Big Daddy Government.
No Compromises Faithful: Have we left anything out? What improvements would you make? What vital suggestions do you have for the RNC that would put us back on a course toward that Shining City on a Hill?
An excellent article, but I need a little time to evaluate.
I think one problem we may be seeing in the upcoming months, is that there are SO MANY individuals trying and doing their best to come up with lists like this one. But there does not seem to be any central organization.
I’m hoping that the upcoming meeting of Governors will produce some real leaders. But we need true Conservatives in positions of power (not necessarily politics/government) who have some influence on the Republican Party. All our individual efforts won’t mean squat unless we can all come together somewhere and combine our thoughts and ideas into a solid foundation and platform.
For one thing, someone needs to define clearly “Conservative” and “Neo-Con” and “Republican”. A post like this is wonderful.
I think I’m rambling, don’t mean to do that. But we are all offering our own ideas, but to succeed in 2010 and 2012, all this has to come together. We are like individual drops of water, no power. But combine us all together and we are a rushing river that can flood the American voting booth in the future. We have to come together somewhere, somehow, …

AMEN, Sister and your views are what we want to hear on this matter. Since the blogosphere is as important as the LSM, it’s time we are heard on these matters! We can take all of our points of view straight to the RNC.
It’s interesting that you bring up leadership. O heard O’Reilly ask who is the National RNC chair. Who is that guy? No body knows and it’s clear he is in the wrong position. I want Newt to be in that position. He would be great doing that job!
I posted your Freedom Contract on my site. I think it is a great start and conservatives need to take back not just the party but also our country.
I also added your site to my blog list. Thanks.
We need to clearly elucidate our family values. I noticed that this was missing from John McCain’s campaign and his website. Of course, he’s NOT a Conservative, so I can understand why he didn’t feel it was necessary to include such statements in his stump speeches and in his website’s “Issues” section.
This cost him a lot of immigrant votes, as most immigrants are VERY family orientated. And, that is how Conservatives in the past have been embraced by immigrants. We don’t need to win the immigrants, we just need to limit the damage.
Also, we need to really target the urban areas. Again, like the immigrants, we don’t need to win them, we just need to get the percentages closer so that the traditionally Conservative rural areas don’t have such an uphill battle.
In St. Louis, MO, Obama got about 83.7% of the vote to McCain’s 15.5%. In Kansas City, MO, Obama got about 78.4% to McCain’s 20.8%. McCain still won Missouri, but it was an uphill battle for the rural areas to overcome such lopsided percentages. As of the most recent tally, McCain took Missouri by 0.1%, or about 5,000 votes!
Anyway, I’m more of a strategy guy than a policy guy. If you need a winning strategy, I’m your man!
Cheers
Excellent post. I love Debbie’s comment:”We are like individual drops of water, no power. But combine us all together and we are a rushing river that can flood the American voting booth in the future. We have to come together somewhere, somehow, …

I have been saying to all who would listen that we need someone to organize us..the grassroots. Debbie has said it well. When together as one we can get it done. I heard Dick Morris say on Hannity that we need a site like Move on.org and perhaps the GOP Trust would be good at that. Don’t know, but I do know we have to be better organized. Using all methods at our disposal and good follow through.
I would like to see term limits. The 96 Republicans had a contract with America and they did not keep it. They also promised term limits. The term Contract with America brings to my mind their lack thereof or betrayal. I really like Newt G. but he did seem very arrogant back then. He does seem to have changed and as I said, I really like the New Newt. We need conservatives, not some of the Republican traitors in the party that trashed Sarah Palin. I would like us to be called the Conservative party. I can dream can’t I? LOL!
Hugs to ya!
“•II. Resolve our Military Incursions, Now! Cease and remove ourselves from unending nation-building and dangerous entangling alliances. Secure our own American territory, instead!”
Does that include Israel?
I do not understand anything because I do not speak American English, only British!
I also agree with Debbie. Thank’s Angie for posting this on your site. I will place a link to this site. Thanks No Compromise. The more that we interact the closer we are coming

Yes, drops forming a river which must be channeled, yet cannot be contained..
The original Contract with America was, I believe, a great success, and was significantly responsible for the Republican Revolution of the 90’s. Remember, the central idea of the Contract was that Newt pledged to bring each element of it to the floor of the House for a debate and vote, and he kept this promise as best he could. This is not to say he promised that everything would PASS the House, for no human being could ever make such a promise – especially with a rabid liberal opposition.
The political brilliance of the ‘tactic’ was to make a specific promise to the American People, which, if honored with a electoral majority by the vote of the People, was a promise kept – and it resulted in much successful conservative legislation such as Welfare Reform. This idea puts the Left in a tight box from which they have no clue how to completely prevail.
But the RNC has crumbled over the ensuing decade. They put party power ahead of the national interest and any pretense of a Conservative agenda. Bush turned out to be a disaster, etc. I understand the roles of leaders and followers in a political movement, but We, The People need to tell the RNC our Conservative agenda and which ‘Leaders’ are acceptable. I have not sent them money for years – in fact, when they send me those fund-raising letters, I send them back with a big fat $ZERO* with the condition that it will stay this way until they Seal Our Borders!
It seems to me that Newt’s window for POTUS has probably passed, but I can’t think of a better person to chair the RNC and re-kindle the Republican Revolution. WE need to make sure it’s a Conservative Revolution. I’m definitely open to other ideas for candidates but the RNC Chairman needs not be as pure as the driven snow, but I’ll take an algamation of Benjamin Franklin and Machiavelli (Newt) any day to turn the party around.
I know this is running long, but here’s some food for thought as we hone our Conservative message, and product, and how to most effectively market our agenda. Let’s make it clear that Conservatives are NOT synonomous with every right-winger, RINOs, Neo-Cons, ‘Compassionate Cons’, or even Republicans in general. And, George W. Bush IS NOT a Conservative – nor has he ever been.
The recent implosion of the Republican so-called ‘brand’ IS NOT a repudiation of Conservatism. Conservatism works – it was the abandonment of conservatism, of the Reagan Revolution, which spelled demise for the ‘Republican Revolution’.
A response to bullet II. above, is that I’m not aware of any U.S. military insursions into Israel. Although there are a few in nearby countries. This point is not a call for protectionism nor passivism. We will always have allies, and Israel is one of our most cherished. And this point does not prevent us from coming to the aid of any ally. We should, however, think about disengaging from ‘dangerous entangling alliances’ such as knee-jerk defense treaties for Korea and Taiwan, and increasing incursions into places such as Pakistan.
My two cents. Or, prehaps we should start a secession movement.. :^)
Yes, Red Pill, I agree with Thought Rogue. Anytime the US gov’t is involved with anything and money is involved there are “strings” attached. In other words, people and nations are restricted when they get our money. To me that’s evil and manipulative.
We need to get out of Israel’s way so they can defend their own nation. Why are we involved with them anyway? We have too much of our own crap to deal with. Let them deal with their nation and we should deal with our nation. Trust me on this: Israel is far more capable than even we are! They know what’s best for their country. We can support them, but not by giving them money.
Hi No Compromise,
I have a link to you on my site. Hope it helps wit a little more traffic, but won’t hurt. I will be returning about every day. Thanks.

Does anyone have any ideas on how we can pick up California’s 55 electoral votes?
This comment speaks to #4 above, with which I strongly agree.
I had a few thoughts while listening to your show. You emphasize the importance of the internet. In the same vein,I would also refer you to this article (first link below) reporting that the strategies of the “Obamabots” which we witnessed during the campaign will not be retired, but continued in order to thwart any and all of our efforts to affect legislation. Do we have anything comparable? Obamabots remind me of trained swarms, rapid response envoys that are deployed via texting, Twitter, et al.
This is exactly what we need to do. I also saw the same tactics referenced in this article (2nd link below – 9 paragraphs from the bottom) where Obama’s man in Maryland – Representative Elijah Cummings – recalls that Obama had referred glowingly to this rapid response/swarming/Obamabot strategy in conversation. It is also a strategy employed by CAIR, to a less successful degree, but sufficient to discourage criticism and challenges in any region where CAIR has headquarters.
Using twitter text, etc, is beyond me, but therein lies the problem. Age. My age and circumstances preclude my having much facility with tech beyond the internet. I do not know what percentage of these x,y, and millennial generations are conservative, but we need them, need this application of technology, need this rapid response tactic. And we need to reach and recruit within that demographic, the same way obama did.
It would seem to me that OUR message is now the radical message. The conformity on the other side is baffling and bewildering to me, since they still claim to be so freaking cutting edge. It has to be suffocating to any actual rebels amongst them. The hunger for freedom that birthed America is a story that has to be re-appropriated and re-told. The more socialism is imposed, the more resounding a lucid call for freedom will become. The juxtaposition between what we believe, next to the increasingly claustrophobic restrictions of Obammunism will become more and more vivid.
Freedom is a “story” that has to be told anew in whatever mediums money can buy us. In much the same way that the movie Easy Rider of the hippie era served as a siren call to that misbegotten generation, (of which I was regrettably a part) we need to develop a few simple, potent symbols and themes that serve as powerfully for us.
Genuine substance is blood to us, but whatever the “New Contract”, or “new superior product”, we have to market it as cunningly as they do.
Thank you for your work here and on your show.

Good question! how can we convince marxists that freedom is better than slavery?
Hey Road Sassy,
I do agree we have to restate the benefits of freedom as ridiculous as that sounds! I do think the oncoming depression will do alot of that work for us. Wait and see and make sure you prep for this oncoming depression. My next show is going to discussion the next American Depression.
